As 2024 draws to a close, this Year of the Dragon did not disappoint. My journey has delivered new characters, new stories and, perhaps most importantly, new opportunities to study the human condition that I find endlessly fascinating.
I began this blog under a different name in 2011 as my own personal journal and social experiment. Like a conflicted lover, it’s been an on-again / off-again kind of project but I feel it’s important to keep this collection of written works together; to document my own progression and because someone out there needs the entertainment and to know that they’re not broken. The most important thing for me this year has been finding myself after wandering aimlessly for awhile. The only difference between lost and found is owning up to my nature and wielding the power I was born with. A simple cure for a simple problem. But is it?
One final thought. The game is long and the method to the madness is hard to see from ground level. Have faith, my friends. The wheel in the sky is always turning. Put yourself out there and let it work.
